Who am I?

My name is Samra. I’m a 37-year-old woman living in Pakistan—a country rich in culture, resilience, and spirit, yet burdened by a growing crisis. Every day, I walk through neighborhoods where the population has outpaced resources, and where survival is a daily struggle for countless women and children. I’m not a politician, not a celebrity, not a billionaire. I’m just one person who refuses to look away.

I’ve seen the faces of hunger. I’ve listened to the dreams of children who want to go to school but can’t. I’ve held the hands of mothers who have lost everything and still fight to protect their families. These aren’t statistics. These are lives. And they deserve more than silence.

Pakistan is facing what many call a “population bomb”—a crisis where the sheer number of people overwhelms the systems meant to support them. In underserved communities, basic needs like food, shelter, and education are not guaranteed. They are luxuries. And yet, they are the foundation of life.
